El Segundo Slipt Stitchers

Founded in 1991, the Slipt Stitchers guild is a chapter of The Knitting Guild Association. With over 100 active members, our guild is a diverse group of men and women, all ages and all at different places on our creative journey. We have varying levels of expertise from beginners and more seasoned creators to some amazing experts as well as some members who are designers, teachers and stars of the "yarn arts". But we all share a passion for knitting and/or crocheting. We meet on the third Saturday of each month in El Segundo, just a few miles south of Los Angeles International Airport, but our members come from all over the Los Angeles area some even as far as Simi Valley to play with us--we are just that much fun!

Our monthly meetings are a great learning experience with many members sharing their expertise with us as well as workshops with well known knitting and crochet teachers.  We have potlucks a few times a year, monthly drawings, quarterly Knit- and Crochet-A-Longs and Show and Share every month where we get to see the wonderful projects our members have made. You can see some of these wonderful projects on our Gallery page. We even have field trips to yarn distributors, sheep shearing and other fun destinations. We also have a more informal Sit and Knit every month.
